Waking up to discover Eric Bailly's transfer to Besiktas finalised on Fabrizio Romano's Twitter account. Manchester United has released another player this season, this time a defender who has been unreliable and prone to injuries. Erik Ten Hag did not include him in his season initiatives, therefore the Red Devils provided him the green light to leave this summer. It's obviously awesome news for the Ivorian footballer who is leaving Old Trafford for a new team. As a result of the new boss's indifference, he will now get typical regular game time.
It is true that Eric Bailly has officially moved to Besiktas a team from Turkey which is also one of the top teams in the Turkish Super League.
It seems that the decision to move to the Turkish Super League with Eric Bailly to Besiktas was the right choice because when he played for Manchester United he felt very uncomfortable and also felt like he was being treated as a stepchild who was not really expected, even though he was at the start of the season joining Manchester United he performed very well as a central defender and was able to help Manchester United win several championship trophies.
With this move hopefully Eric Bailly can get what he wants of course eligibility as a main player but unfortunately it looks like he only has a one year contract if there is no extension with Besiktas.
