Of course, this is not the solution to the problem of gambling addiction, but it is the first step to solve it, because if a gambler hides from the closest people that he plays gambling, they obviously can not understand why at some point he changed, began to sleep poorly, eat, stopped going to work, has several loans in banks that can not pay, etc. and help him find a way out of the situation. Hiding from his closest people addiction gambler remains alone with the problem, and as we know one is very hard to achieve success in any case.

For me it's better to don't have any secrets to our loveones or let say to our family cause like what you said once a gambler have a secret to his family then there are many suspicious  movements from a gamblers and one of those are like what you said there are many loans in a bank. And we all know keeping more secrets lead us into an introvert people cause we don't need to expose more people cause once it happens then our secret will be expose too.

We all have secrets that only we know about. That's not what this is about at all. Family members are in most cases the first to notice changes in a person and can help to understand the problem before it grows from small to huge. That is why I believe that the closest people should know about your hobbies, at least about those related to risks and finances - trading, gambling. Of course, you should hide this information from underage children.
