To me, a cryptocurrency is valuable if it fulfills
at least the following criteria:
- It's decentralized, permissionless, censorship-resistant and robust.
- The network can continue working without a company or an organization.
- There is no premining.
A good cryptocurrency should still have such properties as
- Availability of liquidity
- Adoption among many services
Why do I need this protection from censorship and decentralization if this asset is not widely distributed and does not have much liquidity? For example, that USDT is very often criticized, but whatever its shortcomings, its prevalence and liquidity will bring to its knees any other stablecoin that is decentralized and resistant to censorship.
