If someone claimed they have the right strategy for gambling and winning more times than losing, why can't they use the strategy for themselves and change their lives first?

They will primarily be selling a product, that product is not profitable bets for you to copy, but a single payment or subscription for you to join until you realize that they are no better than randomly choosing bets yourself. Lots of them will strategically manipulate people into signing up, like showing streaks of winning bets which are usually faked in a whole variety of ways, or they might only be able to offer something like 51% of winning bets, which is the same as flipping a coin. Besides all that, bookmakers are not fools and are constantly evaluating whether they are pricing their bets properly so will quickly shut down and profit leaks.
