It's not as strong as when haaland was there. I saw that losing bellingham was also giving huge impact to the dortmund. The club looks like very inconsistent even since the first match of bundesliga.
Dortmund are familiar with losing their star players because it is their favorite strategy with player exchanges, buying young and cheap players, then selling them as star players with expensive and surely profitable fees. They are able to maintain their position in Bundesliga as a second strongest club there as well as able to appear in Champions League knock out matches.
I expect that if dortmund will face difficulty in this group.
There are some strong clubs were in the same group as dortmund. This club needs to work even harder to be qualified for the play off. At this moment, Dortmund appears to not be performing well.
Dortmund lost three best star players in recent seasons, from Sancho to Haaland and Bellingham. They do feel impacts from absences of those players but they have good scout team and their belief is those scout staffs will help them to have new talented players who will step on a same journey of previous star players.
Haller is still having 0 goals after three matches.
I doubt if haller can carry the club. His performance is still disappointing. Three matches and zero goal. he is not satisfying me with his performance. Dortmund has no experienced player.
Dortmund bought Haller, Mallen to replace Haaland but they are not at Haaland level and it's reality they must accept. In midfield, they have yet found any talented player like Jude Bellingham or Sancho years ago. Dortmund will have some difficult and decreasing seasons if they won't soon find new star players.
