There's alot of things amazing about Leverkusen. The previous season, they ended up sitting at 6th position on league table, sharing points with Eintracht Frankfurt who were 7th on the table. Bayer Leverkusen keeps improving in every single league game in the 2023/2024 Bundesliga campaign. Xabi Alonso is indeed doing a great job to lift the club to a more heighten level. I have no doubt that the club will do better this season, they already shown the signs and their next game is Bayern Munich which would be a difficult match to predict the winner. Xabi Alonso have good players that he would definitely make good use of, Victor Boniface is an outstanding player and his presence in the frontline means alot for the club.
I don't think bad achievement for Bayern Leverkusen last season after finishing on 6th standings position, actually Xabi Alonso success helped Leverkusen from relegation zone and finish on UEFA Europe League spot is the best performance depend first time arriving in bottom standings position. Xabi Alonso not only success in domestic league but also success in UEFA Europe League and Bayern Leverkusen managed until semifinal stage before defeating by AS Roma. For this season, Leverkusen have won 3 of 3 matches in Bundesliga and managed top standing from Bayern Leverkusen after have many goals scoring.
Its nice to see, Bundesliga have new competitive team after Bayern Munich dominance every season but how many matches later with Leverkusen will be on the top position or keep in tittle race with Bayern Munich.
