Atletico Madrid haven't made much change in their squad for this season. This is a usual thing for Atletico Madrid so I'm not surprised with that. However they have still made a good progress compared to last season. Because this time Atletico Madrid started the season really strongly. Especially that win by 7-0 was brutal.

Atletico Madrid is a team that have a good history in the La Liga after Barcelona and Real Madrid. Their inconsistency in performance is what is killing them and they are yet to improve on that path till the end of last season. They have actually started this season on a good action but one can’t tell how far this performance can go for them. Diego Simeone is a long-time manager of the club which I feel he should have gotten a grasp of how to go about improving the performance and keeping up with the consistency of the team to stand a chance with Barcelona and Real Madrid for the league title this season, which this two teams have been dominating more than any other team combined in the league.
