Just another Dennis the Menace time. Schroder deserves to be the Tissot MVP for this FIBA world cup finals. A lot of history has been made for this FIBA world cup. Another one is with Canada by their very first title for the FIBA world cup. Going back to Dennis, could this have an impact to his potential offers in the NBA? Possible right but he has already signed with the Raptors right for this upcoming season?
I wish that would happen. He also deserves that too. He made a mistake on the last offer for him by declining what the Lakers is offering but now his contract should be fixed.
This FIBA tournament made a lot of basketball fans open their eyes that there are great players outside the NBA. I think that is the lesson that will be learned and this will flow to the Olympics.
@jakelyson was right, the USA's dominance in basketball is over. Soon there will be other countries who will try to get that gold medal. There are Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Serbia, Canada, and more countries (I won't mention all) who proved this year that they should not be underestimated anymore and I bet the odds of betting will also change next year.
The other bonus of this peaceful event is it gives hope to other countries that being a champion isn't out of reach anymore, they can do it too. Germany just did it and Canada as the bronze medalist for the first time, soon other countries might snatch that.
