"Innocent until proven guilty", remember the case of Mendy of Manchester City, he was accused of multiple cases of rape by more than one woman, but in the end of it all he was not guilty, but he had already lost 2 years of his career.

I think these footballers should also be protected, too many of these accusations turn out to be false and nobody talks about the extent of the damage done to the player. I am not justifying people who abuse the opposite sex, and i believe if anyone is found guilty of that they should be vigorously dealt with, but what's going to happen and who's going to pay for damages if the accusation is false.
Yes, I agree that footballers should be protected as best as possible from false accusations that point to the accuser's evil plans. Anyone who is truly found guilty has the right to stand trial, but they must also receive compensation if the accusation is ultimately untrue. The defendant may be able to file a defamation lawsuit if the case was never true, but can this be done under the laws that apply there?
