This is the reason that I have always said that the best way to cure a gambling addict is when the person realise that they are very much addicted and the person involved who is the victim understands that they need help. That is the fastest way to rescue someone who is addicted. If someone is truly addicted, but they do not understand that they are addicted, all the effort you put in stopping the addiction will result to nothing. Thereby rendering their efforts fruitless. That is why it is fine to first convince someone that they need help before rendering help to them.
That is the primary cure for addictions, as soon as the individual come to the point to identify his gambling addictions it becomes a starting to a more fruitful journey into addiction withdrawal, although it may not be an easy task for the individual in question, and in some cases he may need help from both family and friends and in getting the needed help he also have to change a lot of routine and other activities he engage in, gambling addictions is more likely to be defeated if the individual's work in group by forming a new habits or hobby.
Or by total exclusion by change of environment in other to free up the head to think and act better, This is why it is most likely that an individual who escapes addictions may most likely slide back into it if he doesn't change his routine activities.
