I am using a coin-specific multiwallet that does not have much fee control- but this would have happened with any wallet I guess,
because the culprit is the incoming TX.
Using coin control would have prevented it:
Next time, make sure to use the coin control feature to select which UTXOs you want to spend.
If your wallet doesn't allow manual coin control nor set fees: abandon that wallet and switch to a decent one. Take your seed or private key and import it. For now, all you can do is wait until your transaction is dropped. If your current wallet keeps broadcasting it, that may take a very long time.

I guess electrum or bitcoin core would have displayed the pending dust TX, but that also can be overlooked.
Bitcoin Core doesn't use unconfirmed inputs from third parties.
