Yes I remember those games as well but the two games in the Champions League were very unfortunate for AC Milan as they lost Leao right before the game and he was the player who made a massive difference for their game last season. The whole attacking game was on a different level when Leao palyed. They then conceded two very quick goals in the first leg and in the second leg it is as good as it could possibly go for Inter when they play with a two goal advantage. Because they know better than many other teams to play their advantages very strategically and avoid giving the opponent a chance to come back into the game. But this upcoming game is different.
Losing Leao is not a very big excuse for losing even though it would had given them a better chances of winning but they've won if they performed better, then losing is based on the fact that Intermilan where a bit better in performance, but those are previous seasons where in a new since and anticipate how the rivaly unfolds this season because both teams are looking better than the previous season and the outcome might determine who would dominate the league for a while this season
Alot of people would judge this match based on the previous stats but might end up being shocked by Ac Milan's performance because they might enď up winning the match it's tough for me to predict the outcome but I won't write off Milan because of their previous stats, they've got better players and have strengthened their squad depth and even performaning very brilliantly currently.
Maybe it is not necessarily an excuse, but there are players which are really making the difference and Leao is one of them. The problem is if the opponent then strikes two times very early in the game and you are missing your most important attacker, it is very hard to find a way back into the game and for Inter the games becomes comfortable as they now how to execute their strategy to perfection then. The game back then was literally over after 11 minutes.
I would definitely not use previous stats for this one. Everything starts from zero with two great Milano teams who both want to keep their perfect start intact.
