Yeah, I think you're guessing it right. If this thread was created only for humor purpose then it's the worst type of joke someone can ever read.
People have different reasons to get things, you would be surprised how much people paid for some items that aren't even Worth it in the first place.
Regardless I believe this was just a joke and for fun but if this post was to go main stream and may get high publicity many people would definitely take the offer and would want to be part of the recreation of the legendary Bitcoin pizza .
I know that there are some people who paid a lot for the items that weren't of any value but they did because of love and curiosity. This time if the thread was created as a joke then that's okay otherwise I don't think that anyone would be naive enough to give 1
