PSG offered Mbappe a contract extension but Mbappe rejected the offer I heard such news. If Mbappe has extended his contract with PSG until 2025, why is he fighting with PSG? When Mbappe decided to leave the club as a free agent next season at the start of the transfer market, PSG offered him either to leave PSG before the end of the contract or to extend his contract, but he did neither, he told the club. Given that he will only leave the club as a free agent member. Extending the contract until 2025 means the club will now have to pay a fixed transfer fee to whichever club he moves to. If Mbappe really wanted to leave the club, he should have left the club earlier this season.
It's odd that Mbappe would continue with PSG after rejecting their contract extension offer. I suppose PSG tried to sell Mbappe to Saudi Pro League teams, but he stayed till his contract expired. Apparently, extending the contract until 2025 would earn the club he joins more money. Maybe Mbappe should have left PSG earlier in the season if he wanted to.
