Napoli have been really bad for two weeks. After losing to Lazio home this time they got a draw with Genoa by 2-2. They could have even lost the game I mean as Genoa got 2-0 ahead first. Osimhen couldn't make any impact on this game and this was also one of the factors of course.
Napoli need to improve their team performance. Their next game is going to be an away one against Bologna. I will be expecting Napoli to get a win finally. They really need this to boost their morale. I'm curious about their Champions League performance as well. Their group isn't a very challenging one to qualify from.
Osimhen tried his best in that match but he was very unlucky that he couldn't score any goal even though he had some few chances of scoring. Napoli hasn't won their two last matches as they have only gotten one point from the two matches, this has brought them down in the table, but I hope that they will be able to win Bologna in their next match. From my own view, Napoli tried yesterday as they were able to equalise two goals down in the second half which shows great performance. It was better for a draw than a loss. Really the coach needs to improve the team performance for greater challenges ahead of them.
Victor Osimhen who was one of Europe's hottest strikers last season hasn't really replicated his goalscoring prowess of last season for his club this season. I'm not trying to suggest a decline in form because he scored a hatrick for national team side Nigeria during the international break to become the first player to do that for the Super Eagles since Odion Ighalo did same in 2018 but it seems his link up with other Napoli players who were creating those scoring chances for him last season has somehow declined.
It's early days of the season but Victor Osimhen needs to start scoring many goals for his club Napoli.
