Leverkusen are really pretty impressive so far. Xabi Alonso is just continuing from where he left. I'm curious about one thing as well. Can they stay in the title race until the end? After seeing them performing really decently in Allianz Arena and stealing a point from them too I started to think about this possibility more.
Leverkusen wouldn't do like Dortmund did at the end in my opinion. They would play much stronger if they play a championship game on the final week of the season. Therefore Bayern Munich had better be as consistent as possible if they don't want to see their title streak ending.
For Bayer Leverkusen to go to the Allianz Arena and still got a draw against a star studded team like Bayern Munich, it shows the level of improvement that's happened in the club since Xabi Alonso took over the managerial position of the club. Leverkusen has been very consistent with their impressive results since the start of last season and doesn't look like a team who's gonna decline in form anytime soon.
With their current 10 league points, they're still very much in the race for the German Bundesliga title but what I'm not sure is if they'll continue to remain at the top till the end if the German Bundesliga season.
