Finally, Burnley managed to get their first point after experiencing three consecutive defeats. Getting 1 point in away match against Nottingham Forest was not an easy thing because Nottingham was one of the teams that played quite well as proven when they were able to beat Chelsea even with a narrow score. In a different competition, Burnley managed to beat Nottingham by a narrow score. This draw has not improved Burnley's position and it looks like they will be a team that will fight to get out of the relegation zone.
It was a good outing for Burnley and I think they had a brilliant game. The 1 point for Burnley enabled them to get their campaign up and running after three successive defeats, but they might be disappointed they did not leave with all 3 after they were denied a late winner by VAR. Having played Manchester City, Aston Villa and Tottenham in their opening three games, I saw an improvement yesterday in the way they played and with time, good things will start to take effect.
The 3 defeats experienced by Burnley can actually be said to be defeats that anyone could have predicted. Because the opponents Burnley faces are tough clubs in the Premier League. Namely, the first match Burnley lost to Man City, then lost to Aston Villa and then lost to Tottenham. I feel these three lucky defeats are normal. So I was not surprised to see Burnley able to hold Nottingham Forest to a draw. Because even in the EFL Cup Burnley also faced Nottingham and in the EFL Cup match Burnley even won. But in the Premier League Burnley had to be satisfied with just getting 1 point and I think that is good enough.
But Burnley's next match will also face another strong team, namely Manchester United. Even though Man Utd is in less consistent performance. But still I think Man Utd will beat Burnley quite easily.
