Manchester United beating Bayern Munich in Germany is not a totally impossible in the world of football. Why th person made such a statement is that the current form of Manchester United is not something that is encouraging. If Manchester United should be on their prime, there is no club they cannot beat, be it home or away. In the other hand Bayern Munich is not even that club we used to know some seasons ago. They are strategically trying to come back to their old form, which they have not attend to currently.
After today’s match, I now have a different feeling about this two clubs. Manchester United should not be underestimated despite their poor form in the league currently. Maybe as the popular notion goes had effect in this match, which says; champions league is different from the domestic league.
Before this match, I was of the opinion that Bayern Munich will easily beat Manchester United and they won’t even dare try to come close or equalise, I was expecting like a two goals margin at least, but at the end it was not the case.
Bayern Munich have also proved to me that they’re still on the process of recovering and not at their prime as they’ve always been in the champions league. This has not still change the chances of Bayern Munich tipping their group stage but their next match (the 2nd leg) against Manchester United will be unpredictable at Old Trafford.
