Nowadays, especially in my area, a lot of ladies bet. It puzzles me a lot, presumably as a result of the country's hardship. Previously, it was soccer games, but today you will see women enjoying virtual games.
When I spotted a woman playing a virtual game last week while driving by close to my home, I thought it was crazy. I went inside the betting shop to find out why, and she explained that her husband cannot afford to pay for her bills and the children because he lost his job a month ago. I'm sorry, I was completely speechless. Though some people just enjoy it, it's very distressing to see women gamble.
