Nice start for Tim Cone as the coach of Gilas.
We have a win tonight.
Gilas ramps up its Asian Games prep with an 86-81 win over the KBL’s LG Sakers in an exhibition at PhilSports Arena.
From one sports.
https://www.facebook.com/OneSportsPHLJust check out the YouTube highlights of this game. I'm sure many Filipino vloggers will be posting videos with their commentaries regarding the win. I hope this trend continues, even though it's just a tune-up game; it's still very important to us.
No more bashing; it's good for our Gilas Pilipinas. It seems like the coaching style of Tim Cone is very effective, especially with Brownlee, their best player, working with the Ginebra Gin Kings. A tune-up game against a good team is already a success. I believe they are already prepared for the Asian Games.
Are there any other tune-up games scheduled before their first game in the Asian Games?
Asian Games will kick off tomorrow so I think there will be no more exhibition games for the Gilas Pilipinas.
We can see the schedules of their games at

1:30 pm, September 26, Tuesday – Philippines vs Bahrain
11 am, September 28, Thursday – Philippines vs Thailand
5:30 pm, September 30, Saturday – Philippines vs Jordan
I don't know about the standing of these teams but I have a feeling that Gilas will easily beat them.
