Nigeria's growing interest in cryptocurrencies was noticeable but jumped to the forefront during the crypto market crash, however, the bank knows that cryptocurrencies have the potential to improve financial transparency in the country in the foreseeable future. Never the less crypto is not illegal in Nigeria, however, there are no crypto laws in Nigeria and no legislation, legal act or provision criminalizing the use of cryptocurrencies.
