No more dribble and drive, but more on moving around even without the ball in hand. Hopefully, what we witness today will always be the same good ball movement and good sets of players inside.
That's what I noticed too, Coach Tim is really different from Coach Chot, and I think his system will be effective for Gilas Pilipinas as it will improve the defense. One significant difference as well is that Brownlee isn't like Clarkson, who is too confident to shoot; Brownlee doesn't hog the ball. He's already accustomed to playing with his teammates due to his experience in the PBA.
Big factor since the focus of the defense coming from the opponents is not just for some key players, with coach Tim all are threats since the ball is moving and each individuals inside the court are all capable in taking the shots, with confidence that they are playing together both defense and offense is really nice to watch with coach Tims' mentoring the Nationals.
Let see if they will continue to play like this and able to upgrade more in terms of rotations and good blending of players
inside the court, and if replacement is needed, the player who will be playing will be aware of his role and will play that
same setup, so there's no problem in terms of executing the plays.
Also, it will help Brownlee conserve his energy going into the 4th quarter because he won't be carrying the team, but he should be the one to take over in the 4th quarter, especially if the team is behind or the game is close. I trust Brownlee, though; he could be a significant factor in delivering success. We haven't won gold for a while, but maybe this is our best chance.
