Yeah, I think one good way of looking at it is simply trying out say 30 days without gambling and instead using the same amount of money you spent gambling the last 30 days in something else that you enjoy.
It could be going to a restaurant, a movie, a trip, whatever, and pay it with the money you instead would have gambled away.
I'm sure you will feel better after those 30 days.
I've tried it, and the results are also very enjoyable because, with that money, we can enjoy other things that are just as fun, especially if we can enjoy them together. And taking a break for 30 days can take your mind off gambling and maybe stop it for a while.
And when we return to gambling, we will not have any burdens because we have lowered our emotions and may have better self-control. What is certain is that we will get interesting things during those 30 days, and maybe we can save money that should be used for gambling, but we divert it to other things that maybe don't really require money.
