I think by looking at the statement you made, it indirectly suggests that it depends on the situation whether we will hide our identity or admit directly that we are a gambler. I agree with this because when we discuss with a friend who is a gambler then I don't think we need to cover ourselves that we are also a gambling player but on the other hand when we talk to people who are not gamblers then we should not admit that we are a gambler because surely the judgement will be different.
Do we really need to be ashamed of being called gambler? From my points gambling is something that can never be covered just as I do say before, but one should be happy for it because there are many people who mades a living from it except those that are misrepresenting or that are not taking proper action towards their characters on how they present themselves to people before they could see its as a bad habit. Judgement always comes when we don't gamble responsible and present ourselves properly before someone could say a bad thing towards our actions is when we might have displayed to some irresponsible acts.
Wait. I don't feel that making a living in gambling is appropriate in this case and I don't recommend it to be done, after all gambling is still gambling where we are just looking for the lucky option for profit and it will not be suitable to be used as a source of making a living because in the end such a thing cannot happen and will not be possible.
As for whether we are ashamed to be called a gambler, in this case as I said earlier a few days ago where it depends on the situation. If you're an ignorant person then you probably won't have a problem it's just that not everyone is like that because some people including myself definitely believe that people's judgement matters to them so when you don't want to be considered a gloomy person because of gambling but you want to be in that pre-gambling then it's better not to admit outright that you're a gambler.
