Liverpool continued their winning streak.Liverpool defeated their strong rival West Ham 3-1 at home and increased their points to 16 and continued to follow Manchester City.They took the lead with Mohamed Salah's penalty goal in the early minutes, but Bowen equalized towards the end of the first half.Liverpool increased the pressure in the second half and won with 2 more goals.
In the most important match of the day, there was a goal draw.Arsenal hosted Totthenham at home.4 goals were scored in the match in which Son scored 2 goals and 3 of these 4 goals were scored by Totthenham players.Both teams tried to win but could not win.
Manchester City, Liverpool and Brighton are the three teams that have both won matches this week (Top 3 teams in the standings). Meanwhile, Arsenal and Tottenham just had to settle for sharing the points in the 2-2 drama in the London derby match. I was certainly not surprised by West Ham's defeat at Anfield, I think Liverpool's victory was predicted. Liverpool are superior in quality and are also favorites at home, so of course their win today is already on people's minds.
The most disappointing thing this week was Chelsea's defeat. Of course, this is true considering that Chelsea is still having difficulty getting points because they have not been able to recover from their downturn in the last two seasons. Pochettino has failed in his last 6 matches where he was only able to collect 5 points, even Brentford, Nottingham and Fulham are still much better than them because of the point difference.
Although these teams had Champions League games, they had no difficulty in beating their opponents.When we look at the overall result of the Arsenal and Tottenham game, it is clear that a draw was a fair result for both sides.The statistics show this and I think that neither team did anything extra to deserve a win.All of these games were worthy of each other today and I had a hard time following them all.
Chelsea are far from what they used to be.I think there could be a big change at Chelsea soon.A big team that is performing so badly needs to take a radical decision and change something soon.Pochettino maybe doesn't deserve to be the manager of Chelsea.They need to decide amongst themselves and find out what the problem is as soon as possible.
