Brest again surprised everyone and after the victory over Nice came out on top, but I must note that besides Brest, other teams also surprise - for example, Strasbourg, which took 15th place last season, is now in 4th place, and newcomer Le Havre is in 5th place. For me, Ligue 1 looks like a complete randomness, and when the only stable club (PSG) loses points, the whole standings become strange, but I think by the middle of the season everything should level out.

In fact, while PSG still had dominance at the top of the Ligue 1 standings last season, but I personally felt that none of the teams below PSG at that time had good consistency. So random changes often occur, especially at this moment there are no big or top teams or seeded teams in Ligue 1 that have consistency with good wins. So yes, with results like that, it is not surprising that the mediocre teams in Ligue 1 can make good use of this situation to be in the top zone of the standings. Although indeed, I also believe that they still won't be able to maintain such a good position until the end of the season. But at least, Ligue 1 has become more interesting this moment, because every team at least has the opportunity to feel at the top of the standings.

Yes, for us from the outside it all looks like a random event, but for the French fans it is a gift. I remember how in those days when I actively went to the local stadium to watch the games of a football club from my city, there was a season when this club took 6th place (and got into the Eurocups) although usually they were at the bottom or even in the second league. After the first half of the season they were in 3rd place. It was incredible - there was a big stir in the city and everyone was talking about it. Eh, I wonder if I remember these times because they were really good or because it was my youth  Roll Eyes
