If you asked me, I would say gambling is an activity which is full of relativeness, from the amount of money one can lose, to the way other perceive our status (according to the money wagered).
It seems that clustering in gambling is still happening. which is when rich people play with rich people who have the same social level. And likewise, when people have a low social level, they will play with people who have the same social level as them. But not with online gambling, everyone can play with anyone without any social barriers to play together.
Though, if we talk about addiction, it would be better to stay within the psychological literature, where the most useful approaches are supposed to be.
yes.. indeed, addiction to gambling can be influenced by our own views on gambling, because when we talk about gambling as "fun" then we will be normal when gambling, but things are different when we think that when gambling is for a profit, where in the end we will lose control and continue to chase victory.
