The truth is that Napoli isn't as good as they were last season and I think it's because of the fact that the current manager of the club is different from the one that helped them had an impressive campaign last season. Luciano Spalletti's departure from the club has affected the morale of some of the first team players and that's because of the kind of close relationship they had established with their former manager before he resigned at the end of last season.
Rudi Garcia has been doing his best to bring out the best from his players but I think he needs more time to achieve perfection with the players. It's still very early time if the season and I think there's still possiblity of the Italian club having a better season in Europe.
It must be admitted that Luciano Spalletti's magic is still greater than that of Rudi Garcia and it is a bit unfortunate that Spalleti's departure comes at a time when Napoli are starting to recover and it's just a matter of how they can continue to be consistent this season. I don't think Napoli will be as scary as last season's Champions League and being able to qualify from Group F to the last 16 is a pretty good result. Of course, Rudi Garcia must be able to achieve almost the same achievements as last season, but with the current situation which is quite chaotic, of course that will be difficult to achieve.
