It might appear that some sorts of translations are causing indeed a considerable amount of discomfort, especially "advertising" translations. We had some experts in our local board. And I've had discussions with our incompetent moderator @mole0815 in the past as well but that was only because he didn't move them into the appropriate sub-section (project development, as we don't have a sub-section for project ANNs). In my opinion, "advertising" translations are legitimate* but should be posted in a section, where they belong and are not offensive.

1miau, no one (including me) is saying that advertising translations are something bad. My proposal initially was that translators of service announcements should also at least once test the service they are writing about.

Agree that for locales this will be more useful than simply translating the text and doing nothing else. I liked icopress's recent approach where it asks participants in its signature campaigns to not only wear a signature, but also test what they are advertising and write a review. This way, campaigners will have an idea of what they are advertising. This is a cool approach, why not apply this to translators of service announcements?

What kind of accusations are we talking about against translators that are trying to attribute to me here? This is bullshit. I came here with a critical remark, but this is not empty criticism, it also contains a proposal to improve the quality of the local versions of the topics themselves.

The fact that empty translations without interaction experience have no value has been talked about in my locale for a long time. This discussion began back in 2020, where I was also criticized for such translations three years ago. I drew the right conclusions from this and began to make high-quality reviews of various services. If no one criticized me in this direction, I could continue to simply write text and not test the service itself.

Criticism is always necessary, but only if it is constructive criticism, which contains a description of the problem and methods for solving it. This helps improve and develop, not only yourself, but also the place in which you publish your posts.
