I'm wondering if this Chelsea team that won against Brighton tonight is the same Chelsea that lost against Aston Villa in their last Premier League game. Initially, I was not expecting them to win this game but they managed to win, I hope this victory awakens their winning spirit and I hope to see them further extend the winning to the premier league and to enable them step up in the table.
I felt almost same way like you as I was surprised as to how Chelsea won Brighton I'm today's game or maybe it's because it's not premier league where Brighton would maybe want to contend harder than usual so as to get points to go up the table, but then to our surprise Chelsea won without conceding a goal I that is also Worthy of acknowledgement.
I expected Brighton to win this game or in a worse case get a draw but then Chelsea proved me wrong that they could do better,. although it was such that I would call a narrow escape because any further move by Brighton would have denied Chelsea of a win and probably given Brighton a draw, it was a fair game as both sides did their best but the better side won
I'm optimistic this may in a way help Chelsea restore hope that they could still get a win in the premier league and still make it to top five at least but they can be sure not to win the league title this season as their performance is not suiting enough to give them such championship,. maybe next season of they improve and play better they could go close to been the champions.
