please let me know if you know of any way to store my bitcoin without downloading the complete bitcoin core.
Downloading Bitcoin Core is not an issue with many people. The bigger problem is running a Bitcoin full node but you can run a Bitcoin prune node with Bitcoin Core.
If you want to have lighter experience, you can use SPV wallets like Electrum wallet.
Bitcoin Core or Electrum wallet, verify them before using.
