The COVID19 inception was a very devastating blow to the world as a whole. Many people were taken unawares of the situation and it caused many their jobs, businesses packed up, increase in price of commodities all round. The situation till this moment is terrible. The third world countries are at the end of it all as non of their government could do anything about it. The world is facing a terrible economic inflation which has affected virtually every aspect of the market.

In my country here it is a terrible situation. The economy is something else and price of commodities here is x5 of the initial price. The price of petroleum products is on the high side.  Currency devalued and on a free fall making it very difficult eOne to meet up. Yet government is yet to attend to civil servants working  for them on increasing their salaries.

The cost of accommodation too is very high that getting a house here will take ones effort and just as OP has said that is how it is over here. It is very frustrating and worrisome that things got to this point which would be very difficult for one to comprehend. So what one needs to do at this point in time is to plan, budget and spend moderately to avoid unnecessary waste of resources. With these measures, one can be able to cushion the effect of the economic inflation  and financial stress encountered as a result of the cost of daily living.
