I fall under the category of those gamblers who take a break after losing a decent amount of money in gambling.
Mostly the breaks are for few weeks until I make a new deposit again and start gambling.
I think it is necessary to take short breaks so that we don't get addicted to gambling.
It also makes us a responsible gambler by keeping a track of our losses.

I also take a break when I am in a losing streak.  I often times take a break for a week to a months depending on my mood.  I do the break to refresh all my gambling activities since I observed that I have a better chance of winning after taking a break for some time.

There are some gamblers who come to know about their addiction to gambling even after a long time. There are many people who do not understand the addiction even after gambling for a long time. Gambling has negative effects mainly for those who do not understand the addiction.

If you're an active gambler, it will become hard for you to know when you're getting addicted because you consider gambling to be a regular activity you do but there are some signs you need to be watching out for to know that you're beginning to over gamble like always chasing after losses or exceeding your gambling budget and going to borrow money or make use of money that was allocated for something different that isn't gambling.

When you're an individual with discipline, you can easily identify when you're getting addicted because things will begin to change and you can take precautions before it gets to late. Addictions aren't easy to break out from so it's better not to get addicted while gambling.

I also agree that a gambler can hardly notice that he is starting to get addicted to gambling, as a matter of fact many players just found out that they are already addicted so it is hard for them to resist gambling since the uncontrolled urge is already there.

So to avoid such incidents, we must always try to reflect or have a regular personal check on the signs of gambling addiction so we can stop it before gambling addiction takes over our urges.
