Liverpool played quite well but indeed the 2 red cards received and an own goal ruined their 1 point in the final minute of extra time.
Losing players made them unable to do much because they only defended and hoped the match ended with 1 point but indeed it was obviously a little difficult when 11 against 9 players it was definitely difficult to anticipate. Despite the loss I like the way they played but going forward this should be a lesson that the slightest mistake in a match can have a fatal impact as happened for the 2 red cards of Jota and Curtis Jones.
It seems that many of us were indeed surprised by some of the results and lost bets in Week 7 as the favorites received poor results but it is interesting that positions 1 to 6 now only have a 3-point gap.
I think Liverpool really had bad luck this week. Because two red cards and an own goal became their first defeat this season. Tottenham, who played full of ambition, were able to secure 3 points in this match and were able to overwhelm Liverpool with their style of play. An own goal enabled Tottenham to secure 3 points which enabled them to improve their performance in the standings table.
Before the match started, I was quite confident that Liverpool could win in this week's match. But two red cards made them lose their balance quite heavily in this match. Kloop was of course quite disappointed with this result, especially since the own goal occurred in the final minutes of the match which meant that Liverpool had to give up 3 points for Tottenham in this match. Manchester City also lost and Arsenal can secure 3 points this week.
Tottenham vs Liverpool was a big match where this match was marked by two red cards for Liverpool and also a bad rally for Liverpool because they lost in the last minute due to an own goal by Matip. Liverpool had to withstand the onslaught of Tottenham in this match because Liverpool had to play with 9 players in this match after the red cards received by two of their players. losing Jota and Jones meant they couldn't open up space in their game as they had to cover the gaps to maintain balance. The 2-1 defeat was quite painful because it happened in the 90+6 minute. I think Tottenham really performed consistently under the coaching of Ange Postecoglou because this season Tottenham lost their best goal machine but their performance was even better than last season.
