I think it is possible to get addicted to gambling when there is also no gain and this is because there are always possibilities of players and gamblers chasing after their losses and we'll all agree that in cases where gamblers begin chasing after their losses, is always ends up disastrous and addictions is always the end cases in most cases.
Well, there is always greed in human nature and gambling isn't exempted because there are always the tendency to wanting to play and win more after a win because it is believed that since they're winning, that the winning will continue.
Even though they can win, they can also experience gambling addiction because playing gambling many times can make them addicted to gambling and always want to come back again the next day. They will not see how much they have lost from gambling but they still want to win and also want to recover their losses. This is why we have to control greed, which has become basic human nature so that we don't experience more losses because gambling can give us that loss. If they could control their gambling, they would not use gambling to make money or recover their losses but simply as entertainment, and they know that is the best they can do with gambling.
Once the gambler wins a single time they surely expect that there's a piece of luck with us in that time so they keep continuously playing until they hit the jackpot again but its not as always happen once the player make a profit and win they keep playing and didn't too much notice that those winnings they've got already slowly losing their profit and back again to their lose capital. This outcome really depends on the player base on my experience winning is rarely happens in gambling so once I win I step back for a while and takes another time to play we don't need to get greedy and abusive with the luck sometimes thing is the reason why we brings back to get more losses.
