Liverpool played without Curtis Jones in the early stages but still maintained a strong stance against Tottenham, despite Luis Diaz's disallowed goal. I believe Curtis Jones's red card was too harsh, and Luis Diaz was not offside.
To be honest, Liverpool played exceptionally well, even managing to hold a draw until the last minute of extra time with just 9 players. It felt like everything was working against them, including Matip's own goal. However, congratulations to Tottenham; it was truly an emotional and exciting match.
Liverpool played well until late minute when they got a second conceded goal and lost the match. They tried a lot to keep one point but failed at the end by a late goal from Son Heung Min. Anyway, we have to mention that The Kop were stolen a goal by VAR and referee decision that is proven as inaccurately. In fact Liverpool players were not offside in that situation and if it is a goal, they even can get three points from Tottenham.
Both fouls from Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota are very stupid and they should control themselves better. In such big clash between big clubs, one mistake can destroy efforts of a whole team but in this one, they made two big mistakes so not surprised that they lost the match at the end. Even it is an unfair result, their players must learn from this defeat and keep improving themselves.
