PSG is increasingly inconsistent in Ligue 1 even though in terms of strength they are quite strong on all fronts this season. But the draw from today's match means their quality seems to be in question this season. When facing a team with a low ranking, they seem to find it difficult to achieve maximum results. I think if PSG continue to throw away their points then I believe they will suffer the same fate as last season, namely competing until the end of the competition to become champions.
Mbappe received a yellow card in this match, he was really frustrated because he failed to score a goal in this match. Statistically, PSG has succeeded in dominating possession of the ball, but if the final result is without 3 points, of course that is not very important. Luis Enrique seems to need time to organize the PSG squad so that they can maintain concentration to achieve victory in every match they play.
Even I am consistently saying we have decrease in French League quality in last few years with lack of funds and quality players are hurting badly but in this game we have PSG vs Clermont which is currently at the bottom and having nothing positive in last few games they were able to stop Mbappé and PSG all attack to score any goal against them which is surely more than shocking for the all soccer fans because no one was expecting result like these we have few shocking results in different leagues as well but goalless draw is surely big slap on PSG and their multi-billion squads against team like Clermont.
There were few hopes we will have some improvement even right now it's just early days in season but still things are not going as they needed to be done Luis Enrique is big name, but he needs time to settle many problems which are coming from last few years hopefully things will be improved now they are heading to England for the another challenge against Newcastle United which is also not easy and any result less than win is surely going to hurt their confidence and cause for having positive end of this season.
I watched the match and felt sorry for PSG. When I saw the football played by such a valuable club, I thought I could do better with a cheaper club. There is no attack organization. They do not have any tactics developed against closed defenses. They do nothing but throw the ball to Mbappe or a fast player on the field.
PSG cannot achieve success with this football in all the cups they play this season. They have become a team far from both quality and football spirit.
It was a huge mistake for Mbappe to stay in this team and now he is suffering the consequences of this mistake by losing points.
@flyingcarpet I have stopped expecting from PSG this season because of their poor handling of Mbappe situation and their transfers also didn’t inspire confidence hence I’m not surprised that they’re performing so poorly. Furthermore I yet strongly feel they should sell Mbappe and replace him with Napoli’s striker Victor to salvage this season.
