I would not say I am surprised because lately Wolverhampton has been in fantastic form and this is just the result of how solid they are. I watched them against Liverpool and I believe they actually out played Liverpool in the counter and especially in the first half but they drop their guard and Liverpool had the edge over them.
Today game against Manchester city I think they were more prepared and the coach made great changes to see that the team carries their lead to the final whistle even those they let Manchester city equalize I still had a feeling they had what it takes to beat the citizens today. Now the league is open, arsenal and Liverpool can try to make this slip up count in their favor.
Look at the statistics of the match, Wolves only made one shot on target at City in the entire match, what a fantastic form you are talking about. This is just a sensation, some kind of misunderstanding that sometimes happens in football, they were very lucky in this match, but defensively they played very well, it’s hard to argue with that, but that’s all they managed well.
I don’t understand what happened to Brighton, how they conceded 6 goals from Aston Villa, Brighton is really in great shape and such a defeat. Liverpool were also surprised, almost the entire match was in the minority and if they had not scored themselves in the 96th minute, they would have saved the draw, and this with two red cards.
For me, it was definitely a surprise, I did not think Manchester City was going to lose against Wolves circumstances, however that ended up happening. Of course there was an own goal from Manchester City, but even after that Manchester City should have been able to win the match. Manchester City definitely dominated the match.
Imagine losing a match when the opponent scored two goals when they had only one shot on target and three shots on total, that is definitely crazy. What's more crazy is that Manchester City was not able to score more than one goal even though they played really attacking football. Again this was definitely a big surprise for me and for also a lot of people I believe.
