Leverkusen is playing very well, but it is too early to talk about championship chances. Bayern Munich generally dominates the league alone towards the end of the league in the long run because other teams give away the leadership with surprise defeats. In previous years, Hoffenheim had done this, Union Berlin had done this. I hope a similar scenario does not happen for Leverkusen and they will be successful until the end of the league.
It’s all about consistency. Most of the teams in the Bundesliga are not up to the task to maintain their winning momentum from the beginning of the season till the end and it’s probably because of the caliber of players they have. Bayern easily dominates the league because they are far ahead of other teams and it’s why they are the only team that goes a long way in the champions league. If Dortmund tried to win the league last season and couldn’t succeed then i doubt if any other team is up to the task. They can try but in the end the can’t keep up.
many Bundesliga fans actually want that to happen. are they starting to hate Munich?
I know what they want is better competition. stiffer competition will have fans cheering. Even though in the end it was Munich who won the season, but when you look at the competition it was better. they will applaud the progress shown by other teams as they attempt to win the title from the very strong dominance of Munich.
They don’t hate Bayern Munich they are just bored of seeing one team win the league over and over again. It seems no team is up to the task yet but their recent performance have been impressive as we do see some teams with the nerves of challenging for the title and i believe in years to come the story will be different.
