Did you mention PSG is short of funds this season. I think they are one of the teams in Ligue 1 that has quite strong financial strength compared to other teams. In fact, they brought in 11 players in the last summer transfer window so it's not too epic if we say they are short of funds this season. Indeed, PSG performance is not very good this season because in 7 matches they were only able to record 3 wins. One thing that makes me less confident about PSG performance this season is because of the imbalance that has occurred in their squad because PSG have not found a better strategy in building teamwork in every match.
PSG only depends on Mbappe so that when he fails to score a goal, PSG will achieve less than satisfactory results in that match. Like when PSG was held to a draw by Clermont where in that match they were able to play quite well but they had difficulty scoring goals because they only relied on Mbappe. Apart from that, several new PSG players have not found a good enough adjustment to the strategy implemented by Luis Enrique.
I don't think the person who made the statement of them being short on finance was following the transfer market this summer because he or she would had known that they spent alot to rebuild their squad this season after the departure of Messi,Neymar, Verratti and several others that left, and even got money from the sale of some of their players, moreover they're the league winners and therefore would get casj from the trophy they won.
Over the years PSG has been the Ligue one club with the highest spending on players in the transfer Windows and now they've got rich owners the finance wouldn't be a problem for them, i think what the board would be disturb anout is whether Enrique would be successful this season or produce a very strong team that would be successful in the Champions league this season.
