The issues most people have is that they don’t know when to stop. I have numerously seen people win a lot of money and still lose everything the same moment. I think setting a winning limit is very crucial. However, you mustn’t reach that limit to be content. So in case you’re reading this, my advice is that if you set a winning limit of let’s say $100, it’s okay to stop at $80.
Respecting money and appreciating every amount you get from gambling is the main way to have a good mindset.
If someone can appreciate whatever amount they get, they will definitely be able to control themselves and always stop if they get more than enough or they will stop after getting a small amount that exceeds their deposit amount.
It will indeed be very difficult because the nightmare for gamblers is greed which always defeats all control within the gambler so that even though he has any limits, sometimes everything will be forgotten in an instant when greed starts to dominate the gambler's mind and ends up losing all the balance he has.
But there's no harm in reminding each other and always trying to control yourself within predetermined limits to avoid all the bad things that happen in the long term and always remember to gamble responsibly because the risks in gambling will not matter in any safe way.
