England and New Zealand have already reached Ahmedabad for the opening match of the World Cup. There may be an opening match ceremony today with captains of each team and Bollywood stars, but some popular Indian media reported that the opening ceremony of this World Cup may not take place, but no official news has been received from BCCI. The opening ceremony of a big tournament like the World Cup certainly makes the tournament more interesting. We hope that the 2023 World Cup will be inaugurated with a grand opening ceremony.
There won't be any opening ceremony before the match tomorrow. There is Captains' Day happening today with all the 10 captains at the same venue, it will be photo-ops and press conference. Not much glitter and glam before the World Cup begins this year in India. I am not sure about the reason as there is nothing mentioned in the Indian media.
The first match would be a thrilling match. I feel the England team looks better then the Newzealand side. If I had to bet then I would surely go for England. I have checked the odds and it does favour the English side.
