Gamblers need to accept the reality, gambling is supposed to be a hobby and not our main occupation, while the idea of earning a lot of money and also have fun in the process is a very attractive proposition, we also need to consider how likely is it for us to obtain those results? And it should be obvious this is not very likely, as the games offered by the casinos are naturally disadvantageous to us, and while on the short term we could earn some money, when it comes to the long term we will lose it.
Definitely making gambling a main occupation is putting yourself at a disadvantage already as you will not have the fun that comes with it which makes you more prone to reckless gambling. But making a means of catching fun, maybe not necessarily a hobby, will make you invest less emotions and make you have a healthy gambling habit.

I always talk about emotions when ever am talking about gambling because if you can keep your emotions in check while gambling then you may likely be a better and healthy gambler, because you will most likely not pursue your losses as the outcome of the game is something you have programmed your mind to accept whatever outcome, but with too much emotions attached to will most likely chase losses and gamble unhealthy.

Usually the Casino needs to make profit and so they make profits when we loose to them so they would naturally tilt the games in your disadvantage but it's left with you to literally not allow yourself get caught up so much with this disadvantage by setting your mind to accept possible outcomes and know when not to continue again, little winnings should get you too excited and losses aswell shouldn't get you too emotional.
