All clubs in the SPL will have the same ambition, namely to win a trophy at the end of the season, the top five standings are very competitive at the moment. Week 9 will happen soon, the standings are likely to change again significantly, I think. The match between Al Ittihad and Al Ahli will be an interesting one to look forward to, Al Nassr will have a slightly easier opponent, Abha Club.
If Al Ahli draws with Al Ittihad, then Al Nassr will move up one level but with the condition that they must succeed in getting points by beating Abha Club. For Al Hilal, who currently leads the standings, I think they will remain at the top because the chance of winning over Al Akhdoud is quite big.
I am very confident that Al Nassr will take the Saudi Pro League trophy back home because the team is very promising now. Like I have mentioned earlier, the club needs a stronger goalkeeper. It will be of more advantage to the club. Having Sadio Mane and Cristiano Ronaldo combined in a club like this was a great decision.
Ettihad also have Karim Benzema and N'golo Kante and the club is also doing awesomely as far as this season is concerned. My evaluation for now is based on these top rated players. They are strikers that are promising and have elevated the league as a whole. Meanwhile, I want to follow the challenges to the end of this season. I am already predicting Al-Nassr and Ettihad at the finals.
For now, clubs that have star players from europe will definitely compete closely and will always competitive to fight for title in Saudi Pro League this season and the candidates who deserve to get the title are not only Al-Nasr but Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad as well worthy of being candidate to hold an SPL degree.
I know that this season will be very big season for the top club to continue to compete for best places and for club that are currently below the top 10 in points table, they will only be club to get point for the big clubs, as if weak club will only be the material to get them victory for a big club like Al-Nasr.
Ronaldo has still been very good in last few match and I would like to see stronger performance in each match to continue adding point to make points gap little further.
