I think they will still be looking for some players as they really haven't been making signings in areas they actually need. I think despite all the signings they have made so far they will still look after some players to improve certain areas. Also they have been signing some young players in order to get players for future which is also something that will continue on also in next season. So far Chelsea really haven't been signing the players they actually need and I think it will take time before they actually start signing the players they want. Chelsea has new owners and most of decisions kinda run through them and they are not really very smart at making decisions which is why I think that Chelsea will still sign some player they don't need next season too.
- In my opinion, Chelsea's current issue isn't a shortage of quality players. Players like Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, or even Nicolas Jackson can make an impact. They have a sufficient roster; what's missing is a coherent playing style to unify these players into a genuinely formidable team.
- It's worth noting that Chelsea has invested 1 billion pounds in just three transfer windows. Currently, they are grappling with multiple injuries, but as these sidelined players return, the lineup will become crowded once more. So, Pochettino's task should be to halt excessive spending and instead focus on optimizing the existing squad.
This is exactly the issue. They could invest another 1 billion pounds and I think they would still have the same problem. There is no explanation in terms of their players' quality. They have had all the players they wanted in terms of quantity and quality.
What quickly meets the eye is that they perform so bad that it can't be a superficial and obvious problem like a lack in good players. When a club spends 1 billion pounds and then has to fight to avoid relegation zone, well this is not that common to say the least.
Pochettino wasn't a good choice I think. But at the same time there weren't many options available. They need a manager who understands how to develop a real squad and how to improve every single player. How can it be that they are again tumbling like last season? Any other club would dream of the amount they spent on transfers. Can you mess it up for one season? Well it should not happen, but it can happen. But two seasons in a row?
