England was off to an excellent start, but then New Zealand came back to the game strongly with 4 quick wickets. England were 64/1, but now they are struggling at 125/4. And we know how the pitch at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad behaves. Anything less than 300 is not going to be enough for the team that is batting first. Joe Root and Jos Buttler are at the crease right now, and they are trying to rebuild the innings. If they can get Poms to 200 by the 35th over without losing any further wickets, then there is a good chance that England may end up with a good total.

England team were able to make 282 runs after being put into bat by the New Zealand team. This can be a competitive score if England can take quick wickets when they come out to bowl. However, on the other hand, New Zealand will also fancy their chances to win this match as the score is not so big that it can’t be chased. Just need a good startup partnership and the match will be under their control.

Joe Root really played well and score 77 runs in 86 balls.  Jos Buttler scored 43 runs in 42 balls. Almost every batsmen from England stayed on the crease and made some runs for their team.

Matt henry took three wickets while Mitchell Santner and Green Philips took two wickets each from England team. Overall, I think both teams played well.
England have scored good runs in 50 overs. Now it is the bowling of England to defend, but how far things gonna work need to be watched. In the warm-up match New Zealand is strong to chase any target and whether this is going to be a winning target or not. Each and every player of England have contributed to the score. It is Joe Root who supported the team with his 77 runs and developing partnerships. Till the last order the team had got batters and expectations weren't fulfilled, yet good runs to defend.

Matt Henry bowled well taking wickets of Malan, Butler and Sam Curran. Every bowler had good bowling economy, Rachin Ravindra's bowling was well used at the start by Brook and it made his economy quite high. Performance didn't go well for Neesham as he hadn't got wickets and the economy was high as 8 rpo.
