After conceding 14 goals in his first six Manchester United appearances, the spotlight has been already burning on Onana in an uncomfortable way. But I don’t think his dip in form would make Ten Hag drop him to the bench for his second Goalkeeper to start. Honestly, It doesn't help, of course, that he has been dropped into a dysfunctional United team who seem to have painfully regressed from last season. It may look like he’s conceding too many goals but so many of them were preventable if only Manchester United's defenders and midfielders were more organised.
Having many conceded goals is not good for a goalkeeper but it is not most terrible. It seems Onana starts to lose his confidence and make more mistakes. The inaccurate pass to Casemiro that directly caused a penalty for Manchester United and a red card for Casemiro are nightmare for him. Later Manchester United got a decisive conceded goal and lost the match but the worse thing is they will not have Casemiro in a next match.
We know Casemiro is very important for defensive system of Manchester United and he contributed well for them in corner kicks as well. Without Casemiro, Manchester United will play a next match with a weaker midfield and a next match will decide they can continue to keep up their hope in Champions League or will have to play in Europa League again.
