Well, considering how ten Hag treated de Gea disgracefully for the sake of his pet Onana joining the team, then the credit of trust should be great and I think this goalkeeper will still please us with his funny blunders. By the way, as far as I remember, Manchester United are happy with Ten Hag's results and want to offer him a contract extension. However, even if there are some doubts about Ten Hag's prospects at Manchester United, I think that the club's management will not decide on his dismissal until the MU is finally sold to someone by the Glazer family.

Onana has the support of Ten Hag and thinks he would rise above all this and perform much better. I would like to see some better performance from the goalie as he was rumored to be much better than De Gea. But with his recent performance, perhaps De Gea would have been much better defending the goal posts.
I think a lot of people were initially happy when Ten Hag finalized the deal that would bring him into the club from Inter. I know I was.  But his performance and the team altogether hasn’t been reliable despite all the moves and preparations taken before the start of the new season.
I think Erik Ten Hag's support is just a shame that he is covering up because he failed to recruit a goalkeeper for Manchester United and regardless of the results, Manchester United is much worse off since the arrival of Andre Onana. Certainly the fans have regretted having hoped more for Andre Onana and the decision to throw away David De Gea is the biggest loss so far for Manchester United.

We cannot compare goalkeepers who have much more experience at a club over the seasons and as a coach Erik Ten Hag should have known that his decision was quite risky by relying on Onana who was only good at taking Inter to the Champions League final last season.
