we can not blame Man United performance when they played against Galatasaray. the defeat was not entirely Onana fault and here I not defend him, but I am just saying my opinion, some people are just speculating from what is being discussed without looking at the whole situation and the defeat.
This is something I have always said. Onana may not be elite or be in very good form at the moment but blaming him for every goal Manchester United concede is very illogical.
Against Galatasaray, the defense was so awful.
Dalot refused to tackle well for the first goal United conceded. The defense is in shambles. Any goalkeeper in the world would still concede as much as Onana at Man United.
If you watch Porto vs Barcelona you'll see the work of a good defense. Porto should have scored in that game but the Barcelona defense was very good and that made the keeper keep a clean sheet.
Another thing is the Man United midfield. Defending starts from the midfield. A poor midfield will make the defense suffer when a defense is suffering, they'll surely concede goals.
I've been saying these things forever. United needs to work on their squad. They don't have a squad that can fight for the league or the Champions League. They will not even make the top 4 in the league.
