Manchester City's performance at the start of the season was a bit slow. Yet they have managed to maintain continuity. They won 6 out of 7 matches. The main reason for City's slow start to the season is that two key players in the City squad, Silva and De Bruyne, have missed several matches due to injuries. However, Manchester City's performance under Guardiola was excellent.
Hopefully Manchester City will be able to maintain this consistency of their performance. If Manchester City can win the next match against Arsenal, then I think we will see Manchester City at the top of the Premier League points table for a long time. But losing points to Arsenal will see Arsenal occupy the top spot in the table. I am looking forward to the Arsenal vs City match.
I expect the citizens to floor the Gunners in their home when they meet on Sunday. Arsenal have been impressive of late but they're a long way from beating Pep's men and haven't been able to win in all their 13 times they've recently met. As it is, Guardiola has trained his boys to see every game as important and a game like this will not be treated differently.
I know Arteta will want to pull the rug from under Guardiola as they pay a visit to the Emirates Stadium but the question to ask is, can he?
